Aussie pair Ajla Tomljanovic and Storm Sanders have both advanced to the second round of the Volvo Car Open in Charleston.
Tomljanovic put in an incredibly impressive performance overnight, demolishing American Christina McHale 6-3, 6-0 in just 67 minutes.
Next up, Tomljanovic will face 17th seed Marie Bouzkova. It will be their third meeting, with their head to head tied at one win each.
After navigating her way through qualifying to enter the main draw, Storm Sanders also advanced, claiming a 6-2, 6-4 victory over fellow qualifier Asia Muhammad 6-2, 6-4.
Sanders won 82% of points on her first serve, a stat far superior to her opponent, who won just 47% of points on her first serve.
The Aussie broke the American's serve on six occasions to set up a mouth-watering second round clash with third seed Petra Kvitova.
On the Challenger circuit, Aussie Aleksandar Vukic won through to the second round of the Split Open, defeating Croatian wildcard Mili Poljicak 6-1, 6-1.
Akira Santillan was also on the winners list, booking his place in the main draw with a 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 win over Serb Miljan Zekic.
Fellow Australian Bernard Tomic was not as successful, going down to seventh seed Kimmer Coppejans 2-6, 6-4, 3-6 in a tight clash.
At the W60 Bellinzona ITF tournament, Aussie Seone Mendez qualified for the main draw with a 7-5, 6-3 win over Germany's Sina Hermann.
