Alex de Minaur learns ATP Finals fate as groups drawn

The 2025 Nitto ATP Finals draw has paired Australia's Alex de Minaur with a group featuring 30 combined Grand Slam titles.
'Demon' became the first Australian since Lleyton Hewitt to qualify for back-to-back singles editions of the ATP Finals, as he currently sits 7th in the rankings.
The 26-year-old Sydneysider officially secured his place in the 1500-tier event when he defeated Karen Khachanov in the Paris Masters round of 16.

Drawn in the Jimmy Connors group, de Minaur must get past Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic and Taylor Fritz if he is to make the top two and qualify for the semi-finals.
In the other group (Björn Borg group), Jannik Sinner, Alexander Zverev, Ben Shelton and either Felix Auger-Aliassime or Lorenzo Musetti will vie for the top two positions.

De Minaur made his ATP Finals debut last year, but failed to win a match against Sinner, Fritz and Daniil Medvedev.
Defending champion Sinner is bidding to defend his title, in what will be his final tournament of the season before focusing on preparation for the 2026 Australian Open.
The ATP Finals commence November 10-17 in Turin, Italy.
