The First Serve is your HOME OF TENNIS.
Featuring a dedicated weekly two hour tennis program (Jan-Nov) that first aired in 2009 the only one of its kind on commercial radio in Australia and New Zealand via the SEN AM Radio Network / SEN App, plus commentary from the Grand Slams themed podcasts, a strong online/social media presence and print content via our website. The First Serve has one simple aim and that is to keep the tennis conversation going 12 months of the year, covering tennis from the grassroots to the elite.
Based out of Melbourne, Australia, home of the Australian Open, The First Serve covers the Australian tennis scene, but also the game globally attracting listeners from all around the world. The First Serve speaks to those at the coalface of tennis all over the world.
Heading up The First Serve coverage is leading tennis commentator Brett Phillips. Brett is host of our dedicated two hour weekly radio show, leading commentator at all the Grand Slams for the SEN Radio Network on the ground at all the key tennis tournaments through the year providing along with a great team, tennis content via radio, podcasts, online and in print.
Brett is also a host of Channel 9's French Open, Wimbledon, US Open, Davis Cup, Billie Jean King Cup, Brisbane International and Adelaide International TV coverage as well as being the big screens host for Tennis Australia at the Australian Open.
