For the first time since January 2021, Bernard Tomic will play in a tour-level match after pulling off two impressive victories in Mallorca qualifying.
The world No.243 defeated two top-100 players in Jesper De Jong (5-7, 6-4, 6-4) and top-seed Aleksandar Kovacevic at the ATP 250 event, marking his first wins against top-100 opposition since February 2023.

Not since the Australian Open four-and-a-half years ago has the former Wimbledon quarter-finalist featured in a tour-level main draw.
However, by entering the Mallorca tournament, Tomic made the tough choice to ditch a potential shot at Wimbledon qualifying.
At one stage, the 32-year-old was the fifth alternate to sneak into the qualifying draw, and was then the first alternate after his victory over Kovacevic.
Tomic has played 233 matches since his last tour-level triumph, having appeared in ITF and Challenger events for nearly five years.
