Jammed on 99 ATP career titles since the Nitto Finals in November 2023, Novak Djokovic has finally hit the century mark.

Djokovic, who turned 38 during the week, edged out former world No.6 Hubert Hurkacz 5-7 7-6(2) 7-6(2) to capture the Geneva Open, a 250 event.

Outside of ATP tournaments, the only other piece of silverware that the Serbian won last year was an elusive gold medal at the Paris Olympics.

"I'm just grateful to clinch the 100 here," Djokovic said afterwards in Geneva. "I had to work for it, that is for sure.

"Hubert was probably closer to the victory the entire match than I was. I don’t know how I broke his serve."

Prior to Geneva, Djokovic had lost in the first-round in four separate tournaments this year.

He recently agreed to mutually part ways with former coach Andy Murray after undesirable results over the past few months.

Over in Strasbourg, Elena Rybakina won her first title since the Stuttgart Open in April last year, besting eighth seed Liudmila Samsonova 6-1 6-7(2) 6-1.

The former Wimbledon champion is yet to surpass the quarter-finals of the French Open, but will breathe a sigh of relief after her original first-round opponent, Belinda Bencic, withdrew from the tournament.
