The Kazakh world No.21 dominated the first set against the 18-year-old ranked No.804.
She won the first set in a lightning-fast 15 minutes, conceding just three points.
The Colombian, making her BJK Cup debut, fought hard to snatch a game much to the delight of the Pat Rafter Arena crowd.
Elena Rybakina sealed the tie with a win over 684th-ranked Yuliana Lizarazo 6-1 6-2.
The world No.10 shared her delight with the crowd.
"We have a really good team, and we are super happy to get the win," she said.
Kazakhstan’s win seals Australia’s fate
Australia needed a miracle today to keep their hopes of qualifying from Group D alive.
The demolition of Colombia by Kazakhstan means they can no longer make the BJK Cup finals in September.
Despite not qualifying, the team still has pride to play for when they take on Colombia.
Speaking to The First Serve, Australia’s No.1 Kimberly Birrell explained the team will treat this tie no differently.
"Anytime we wear the green and gold, we want to win, we want to make everybody proud," she said.
"Some might see this as a dead rubber but, they [the team] are still going to absolutely play their hearts out and leave it out there."
Australia takes on Colombia from 12:00pm Saturday April 12 on Pat Rafter Arena.
