The Aussies are set to meet Belgium from Saturday September 13 to Sunday September 14.

“I’m looking forward to playing in Sydney, it’s no secret Ken Rosewall is my favourite court,” de Minaur said.

“I have some amazing memories competing here, and to be back here in September is going to be a lot of fun.

“We haven’t played Davis Cup at home since 2022, so it means a lot. We are hungry as ever to qualify again for the Finals and really give it everything.”

These two nations last locked horns in 2022, with the green and gold prevailing 3-0 in the group stage phase.

Captained by Lleyton Hewitt, Australia defeated Sweden 3-1 in February’s first-round, as Alex de Minaur led the charge along with Matthew Ebden, John Peers, Thanasi Kokkinakis and debutant Aleksandar Vukic.

However, Alexei Popyrin and Jordan Thompson are expected to re-enter the fold to replace the injured Kokkinakis and out-of-form Vukic.

A win for the 28-time champions over Belgium will see them secure qualification for November’s Davis Cup Finals held in Bologna, Italy.
