World No.6 Coco Gauff has parted ways with coach Brad Gilbert after a run of frustrating results.
It comes after Gauff bowed out in the fourth round of Wimbledon, the second round of the Canadian Open and the first round in Cincinnati before packing her bags in the round of 16 in New York over two weeks ago.
Gauff won her maiden Grand Slam title at the US Open under Gilbert's wing last year, rising to a career-high No.2.
Gilbert, a former world No.4 in singles, appreciated the opportunity to coach one of the top WTA players on the planet.
"Thanks to @CocoGauff and the entire team for an absolutely amazing summer run in 2023 and for 14 months of incredible team effort," Gilbert said on X.
"Coco, at just 20 years young, your future is incredibly bright, and I wish you nothing but continued success ahead. I’m excited for the next chapter in my coaching career."
Gauff responded on X, writing: "“We had an incredible run and I wish you all the best in the future!”
During Gauff's fourth-round exit at the All England Club against American compatriot Emma Navarro, there was noticeable tension when the former lashed out at Gilbert in anger.
