Alexei Popyrin will look to benefit from an extended rest as he bids to achieve a personal best result at Roland-Garros on Day 4.
The 25-year-old swept aside Japan's Yoshihito Nishioka in two and a half sets in the opening round, after the latter retired due to a back complaint.
It establishes a second-round matchup against Chilean and former world No.19 Alejandro Tabilo, and a win for the Aussie will ensure a third-round berth at Roland-Garros for the first time.

Needing to bounce back after retiring from her Morocco Open semi-final against eventual champion Maya Joint, it was Ajla Tomljanović who exacted revenge on her compatriot to breeze through in straight sets.
With a fourth-round to her name in the French capital at age 21 dating back to 2014, there aren't too many tougher battles on tour than a clash with Italian pocket rocket Jasmine Paolini, Tomljanović's next opponent.
The pair, who share a 17cm height difference, have never met before as they prepare for the first match of the day on Court Philippe-Chatrier.
Paolini, last year's finalist and recent WTA 1000 Rome champion, seeks to go one better in 2025 after a phenomenal 18-month rise.
