Australia's Talia Gibson is showing no signs of slowing down after winning her third consecutive ITF title in Cairns.
The 20-year-old had already clinched two ITF titles in the space of seven days in her hometown of Perth last month against fellow Aussie Maddison Inglis and Japan's Eri Shimizu respectively.
Gibson was yet to drop a set heading into today's ITF Cairns final against compatriot and seventh seed Lizette Cabrera, with the latter knocking out second seed Inglis in the semi-finals.
A healthy 81 per cent of first serves made along with four breaks was enough to push Gibson over the line to win 6-2 7-6(2) and extend her winning streak to 15 matches.
Despite another successful week, Gibson drops 11 places to world No.140 in the live WTA rankings.
Three weeks ago, The First Serve's Brett Phillips caught up with Gibson where she credited her exposure on tour to grow as an athlete and her support team.
"You have to give so much credit to [past] experiences," Gibson told The First Serve. "Having been on the tour for a couple of years and having so many experiences, now being able to say that I've played in all four Grand Slams has just been so amazing.
"I have such an amazing team behind me, so [I'm] super grateful to them and all the work they do with me. I've learned so many things that have definitely been so important to the development of my game."
