Dual Wimbledon finalist Ons Jabeur is removing herself from tennis for the time being as she prioritises her mental health.
Jabeur, who also reached the 2022 US Open final, has recently struggled to find happiness within herself, especially after wayward results and injury troubles.
A few weeks ago at Wimbledon, the 30-year-old retired two games into the second set of her opening round match against Viktoriya Tomova due to illness.

Having slipped to No. 71 in the rankings, Jabeur believes it is now time to fully reset and take a break.
"For the past two years, I've been pushing myself so hard, fighting through injuries and facing many other challenges. But deep down, I haven't truly felt happy on the court for some time now," the Tunisian said in a statement.
"Tennis is such a beautiful sport. But right now, I feel it's time to take a step back and finally put myself first: to breathe, to heal, and to rediscover the joy of simply living."
She came agonisingly close to winning her maiden Slam title at the All England Club two years, in a loss that she has since described as "the most painful loss" of her career.
