Astra Sharma is the latest Aussie to fall at the Australian Open after losing to Dane Clara Tauson in straight sets.

The Aussie never quite got herself into the match and eventually fell 3-6, 4-6 in an hour and 20 minutes on Show Court 3.

Sharma struggled on serve, winning just 56% of points on her first serve while being broken three times throughout the match. In response, Sharma was only able to secure one break of serve on four attempts.

Sharma’s error count also didn’t help her cause with two double faults and 34 unforced errors for the match compared to just nine winners.

Sharma still has the doubles to look forward to, teaming up with fellow Aussie Ajla Tomljanovic.
