Tennis player Alana Tuayeva has been hit with a three-year and nine-month ban by the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) for her involvement in match-fixing on two occasions.

The ITIA confirmed that she accepted the ban and an A$41.5k fine, $29.2k of which is suspended.

Listen to The First Serve Live every Monday at 8pm AEDT in its 18th year on the SEN Network/App, Australia's only dedicated weekly tennis program on commercial radio running through till the end of November.

The 26-year-old, who peaked at a career-high WTA singles ranking of No.1282, confessed to fixing two of her matches that occurred in 2023 and 2024.

She has been provisionally suspended since December 19, 2025, and is eligible to return at the end of September 2029, provided all outstanding fines are repaid.

The ITIA had originally announced her provisional suspension in January.

Section F.3.b.i.4 states: "There is a likelihood that the Covered Person has committed a Corruption Offence which is above Category C2 of the Sanctioning Guidelines and in the absence of a Provisional Suspension, the integrity of tennis would be undermined, and the harm resulting from the absence of a Provisional Suspension outweighs the Hardship of the Provisional Suspension on the Covered Person."

Tuayeva has not played a competitive match on the ITF Tour since July last year.
