World No.24 Alexander Bublik was full of praise for defending champion Jannik Sinner in the funniest way possible.
Bublik, who defeated Sinner in Halle en route to the title in June, was outclassed in every facet, going down 1-6, 1-6, 1-6 in 81 minutes to exit the US Open fourth round.
After they shook hands, Bublik told Sinner at the net, "You're so good, this is insane. I'm not bad, like what the f***?"

Minutes before stepping out on court, Bublik described the Italian world No.1 as "an AI-generated player".
The Kazakh star, known as one of the best characters in the sport, found the funny side of the drubbing out on Arthur Ashe Stadium, as he turned to his box multiple times with a wide smile and laugh.
Although it wasn't Bublik's best performance with 13 double faults and having been broken eight times, his opponent was on another planet.
"He had a very tough match the last match, today he didn't serve as well as he usually serves, and I broke him early," said Sinner. "Overall, I'm very happy."

Locked in and on a mission at Flushing Meadows, Sinner claimed his 25th consecutive win at a hard court Grand Slam.
Sinner and 10th seed Lorenzo Musetti will face off in an all-Italian quarter-final battle, with the winner scheduled to meet either Alex de Minaur or Felix Auger-Aliassime.
