Every Grand Slam has its fairytale storylines, but very few are as incredible as Lois Boisson's 2025 Roland Garros run.
The world No.361 entered the main draw as a wildcard, having never played a Grand Slam before and won just one tour-level match; and now, she's into the last eight.
On Monday in Paris, the Frenchwoman defeated third seed Jessica Pegula 3-6 6-4 6-4, coming from a set down to the delight of the home crowd.
And it wasn't just the fans inside Philippe Chatrier that were enthralled by Boisson's heroics, with the entire site at Roland Garros coming to a near standstill to take it in.
Everyone got their eyes on a screen as the local wildcard served out a tense deciding set to score one of the greatest upsets in recent tennis history.

The 22-year-old sealed the deal on her first match point with a forehand down the line winner, one that relieved a lot of emotion.
"For the match point, I felt very tense, and when I saw that my forehand was a winner, well, the whole pressure went off," she said.

As with any young tennis fan in France, this tournament has long been the inspiration, so not only playing in the main draw but now winning four matches is incredible.
"Roland Garros has been a dream and it's a goal, so being in the quarterfinals is already a step ahead," Boisson said.
Today was a moment to cherish for the 22-year-old, who was set to receive a wildcard in 2024, but ruptured her ACL weeks before the event.
Thirteen months on, she's back on court, playing better than ever, and might not be done just yet.
"It's really amazing. I'm so proud of me and of my team. I hope to go to win more matches here," she said smiling.
Boisson will now face 18-year-old star Mirra Andreeva on Wednesday in Paris, in what will be an even greater challenge as she seeks to keep France's local dream alive.
