Teenage marvel Maya Joint has completed a perfect week in Rabat by winning the Morocco Open to claim her first WTA title.
The 19-year-old wrestled back momentum after trailing by a break (2-3) in the first set to wrap up a comfortable 6-3 6-2 victory against Jaqueline Cristian in 81 minutes.
Collapsing to the ground in joy and disbelief, Joint savoured the moment.
"Thank you for everyone who came out and supported. I mean, this crowd was unbelievable, so many people came. Thank you guys so much," she said post-match.
"Hopefully it’ll be the first of many."

It comes after she won the doubles title in the early hours of Saturday morning AEST, and didn't drop a set in the singles throughout five matches.
Joint has jumped 25 spots to a career-high No.53 in the live rankings, cementing her status as the second-highest ranked Aussie. She is also the second-youngest teen to feature in the top-100, behind Mirra Andreeva.
Not since Ash Barty at the 2022 Australian Open had an Aussie female won a tour-level singles title.
Her next match is a first-round clash against fellow Australian Ajla Tomljanović at Roland-Garros, but the latter retired after the first set in their semi-final in Rabat.
