Novak Djokovic will begin his quest for a 25th Grand Slam title at the Brisbane International for the first time since the tournament's inaugural year in 2009.
The 10-time Australian Open winner shared his delight about connecting with the Brisbane fans and preparing for an important event.
"I’m excited to be kicking off my Australian swing at the Brisbane International and to compete again at Pat Rafter Arena," Djokovic said.
"I am looking forward to experiencing the incredible support from the Australian fans and making this tournament one to remember."
The upcoming edition will mark one of the strongest fields in Brisbane International history, with 20 men inside the top-50 making up the entry list.
Three former major champions including Aryna Sabalenka, Jelena Ostapenko and Victoria Azarenka headline a strong women's draw.
Tournament director Cam Pearson is jubilant to have an incredibly strong contingent travel to the city.
"We are thrilled to have Novak headlining the Brisbane International 2025 along with world No.1 Aryna Sabalenka," Pearson said.
"This is by far the strongest field the tournament has seen with 15 of the top-20 men and women players confirmed.
"Add to this multiple highly ranked Australians to inspire the next generation of tennis fans and the event will be huge.
"We thought that it would be hard to top last year’s line-up but here we are with an even stronger field.
"I cannot wait for the tournament to get underway and for all the fans to experience the world’s best right here in Brisbane."
Grigor Dimitrov will look to defend his 2024 title as he conquered Holger Rune, while this year's finalist, Sabalenka, will fancy her chances with the exclusion of reigning champion Elena Rybakina.
