DRAPER'S TREMENDOUS RUN CONTINUES | CHALLENGER/ITF WRAP

Citta' Di Forli' 5 ATP Challenger:

20-year-old Brit Jack Draper's tremendous 2022 season continued as he saved four match points to claim his third ATP Challenger title in Forli, Italy.


Draper claimed his maiden ATP Challenger title last month in Forli and has gone on to win a further two titles in Forli to become the youngest British player ever to win three ATP Challenger titles.


The Brit extended his impressive win/loss record in 2022 to 17/2, staking his claim as one of the hottest young prospects on the tour.


With the win, Draper has risen to a career-high ATP Ranking of no. 145 - inside the top 150 for the first time.


Terega Open Pau-Pyrenees ATP Challenger:


Final: [7] Quentin Halys (FRA) def [8] Vasek Pospisil (CAN) 4-6, 6-4, 6-3.

Frenchman Quentin Halys lifted his fourth career ATP Challenger title on home soil in Pau, France this week, coming from a set down to defeat Canadian Vasek Pospisil.

The 25-year-old began the week at 137 in the ATP Rankings and will rise to no. 120 after the win - just 18 spots shy of his career-high 102.


ITF W60 Nur-Sultan Forte 60 Women's:


Final: [Q] Anhzelika Isaeva (RUS) def [1] Greet Minnen (BEL) 6-4 ret.

21-year-old Russian qualifier Anhzelika Isaeva claimed her maiden ITF World Tennis Tour title in Nur-Sultan after No. 1 seed and world No. 78 Greet Minnen retired with injury in the final.

The Russian came into the week at no. 668 in the WTA Rankings and has now risen to a career-high no. 390.


Isaeva had never previously beaten a top 300 ranked player before this week. She collected four consecutive wins over top 300 ranked players before claiming her maiden top 100 win over Minnen in the final.
