Entry Lists confirmed for the US Open, with 10 Aussies directly into the main draw

The men's and women's singles entry lists have been confirmed for the US Open, announced after Monday's six-week cutoff with the latest rankings updated.

The women's cutoff was No.102, while the men's cutoff was No.101.

World No.1s and past US Open Champions Aryna Sabalenka (2024 and 2025) and Jannik Sinner (2024) lead their respective fields, with Sabalenka aiming to become the first woman to win three consecutive US Open singles titles since Serena Williams (2012-2014).

The field includes 17 total former Grand Slam singles champions (11 women, six men), including 10 former US Open champions.

The Australian men to feature in the main draw will be Alex de Minaur, James Duckworth, Thanasi Kokkinakis (using a protected ranking of No.84), Rinky Hijikata and Adam Walton. Aleksandar Vukic (102) and Alexei Popyrin (104) sit just outside the cutoff, with Dane Sweeny, Chris O'Connell, Tristan Schoolkate, Alex Bolt and Bernard Tomic also in the qualifying draw as it stands, with a reciprocal wildcard to be confirmed.

The Australian women to feature in the main draw will be Daria Kasatkina, Kimberly Birrell, Talia Gibson, Maya Joint and Ajla Tomljanovic.

Taylah Preston, Emerson Jones, Maddison Inglis, Priscilla Hon and Storm Hunter will be in qualifying, with one like the men to receive the reciprocal wildcard.

Adding to Thanasi Kokkinakis, another seven players (five women, two men) are using special or protected rankings, including Lois Boisson (No.38), Juncheng Shang (No.56), Irina-Camelia Begu (No.82), Aoi Ito (No.87), Jill Teichmann (No.89), Mananchaya Sawangkaew (No.100), and Filip Misolic (No.101).

The 2026 US Open runs Sunday, August 23-Sunday, September 13. The singles main draws begin on Sunday, Aug. 30.
