Marton Fucsovics has defeated Thanasi Kokkinakis 7-6(4), 1-6, 6-3 in a tight battle to level the tie for Hungary against Australia at Ken Rosewall Arena.
Fucsovics drew blood first in the battle, breaking Kokkinakis and moving 5-3 ahead in the opening set, but wasn't able to serve out the set as Kokkinakis broke back to eventually force a tiebreaker.
But the Hungarian regained his composure to clinch the tiebreaker 7-4, keeping Hungary's hopes alive.
Kokkinakis' level lifted significantly as he raced away to claim the second set 6-1, sending the match into a decider.
The Aussie looked slightly hampered in the second set and took a medical timeout after going a break down early in the decider.
And as the match continued, Fucsovics gave very little to the Aussie, standing firm to eventually claim the third set 6-3, levelling the tie for Hungary.
