Spanish star Sara Sorribes Tormo is undecided about whether her sudden break from professional tennis will be "permanent or temporary", given her mental health battle.
Sorribes Tormo, who reached a career-high No.32 in singles, has failed to win back-to-back main draw matches in 2025.
The 28-year-old won bronze at the Paris Olympics last year after teaming up with Cristina Bucşa in the women's doubles.

After careful thought and consideration, Sorribes Tormo penned a heartfelt letter in Spanish to share an important update with her fans, which has been translated into English.
"I wanted to tell you that I've decided to take some time. Some time for myself, for my mind and for my body. I've been suffering for many months on a tennis court," she wrote.
"The cheerful and happy Sara that you see off the court is far from the reality of everything I carry inside.
"I've lost the excitement to train, to improve, and even to go to tournaments. The moments of suffering far outweigh those of calm, and this is coming from someone who has always loved to work, improve, and compete.
"That's why, in addition to needing help, I feel that I need to stop and rest. I don't know if it will be permanent or temporary."
The news arrives days out from the Madrid WTA 1000 event set to take place next week, where Sorribes Tormo clinched the doubles title last year.
