Jordan Thompson could be forced to divert his trip from Madrid after withdrawing from his doubles encounter just moments after having the chance to serve for the match.
The world No.39 was leading 6-3 5-3 in his first-round doubles match in Barcelona alongside Sebastian Korda, but after trailing 15-40 on his serve, the Sydneysider took no further part.
Thompson revealed to The First Serve that he is battling an adductor injury on his right leg.

After calling it quits in Barcelona, Korda helped Thompson carry his bags off court, with the Aussie spotted standing up during the last changeover swivelling his hip and trying to stretch out his right adductor, and was playing with strapping.
On Monday, the soon-to-be 31-year-old withdrew from his scheduled singles match in Barcelona against Roberto Carballés Baena one hour beforehand.
This year has proven to be an injury-affected campaign so far, with Thompson suffering a foot injury, later identified as Plantar Fasciitis, which impacted his Australian summer.
The Madrid Masters 1000 tournament is scheduled to commence on Tuesday April 22.
