SAM STOSUR'S AUSTRALIAN BJK CUP FINALS PATH SET

Having qualified for the 2024 Billie Jean King Cup Finals recently with a qualifying win over Mexico on Pat Rafter Arena in Brisbane, Australia's path has been announced in its quest to win the most prestigious team trophy in women's tennis for the first time since 1974.

The Finals will feature 12 nations competing in a new knockout format in Seville on 12-20 November.

Sam Stosur's Aussie team will be one of four seeded nations who will begin in the quarter-finals after a first round bye, to take on either Slovakia or USA.

Defending champions Canada will await the winners of Germany and Great Britain, and if our Aussie girls can navigate their way through to the SF's will play one of those three nations for a place in the final.

In the bottom half, Czechia will play the winners of Spain and Poland, and Italy will face either Japan or Romania.

The opening round of ties will take place from Tuesday 12-Thursday 14 November, followed by the quarter-finals on Friday 15-Sunday 17 November. The semi-finals will take place on Monday 18-Tuesday 19 November, with the 2024 Billie Jean King Cup final on Wednesday 20 November.

The schedule for the Finals will be confirmed in the coming days.
