It wasn't to be for forgotten man Bernard Tomic, as a rising American talent had all the answers to send the Aussie packing in Paris.

After claiming his first win at a Slam since Wimbledon qualifying in 2021, Tomic exited the second-round of French Open qualifying by a scoreline of 3-6 4-6 against 11th seed Ethan Quinn.

However, the first five games were anything but straightforward, as Tomic was broken to love to fall behind 0-2, before the 32-year-old immediately broke back to love himself and couldn't capitalise on a break point opportunity to go ahead 3-2 in the opening set.

World No.155 Maddison Inglis couldn't back up her first-ever win at Roland-Garros, going down 5-7 3-6 at the hands of 21-year-old Kristina Dmitruk.

Meanwhile, a lengthy rain delay halted the majority of second-round qualifying matches, with Jason Kubler yet to commence set two after losing a nail-biting tiebreak despite having set point, while Daria Saville is in the early stages of her match against France's Daphnée Mpetshi Perricard, locked at 2-2.

The two remaining Aussies yet to step out on court, Astra Sharma and Talia Gibson, will begin their matches in the earlier time slots of 6pm AEST and roughly 7:30pm AEST, respectively.

On Thursday night at 10pm AEST, the French Open draw will take place. Keep up to date with The First Serve for new developments.
