Alex de Minaur required medical attention to treat a bleeding ear, but that was the only downside for the Aussie on Day 2 of the Laver Cup.
The 26-year-old took down world No.3 Alexander Zverev 6-1, 6-4 in commanding fashion to earn Team World a valuable two points to tie the series with Team Europe at 3-3.

After teammate Taylor Fritz upset six-time Grand Slam champion Carlos Alcaraz in straight sets, de Minaur partnered with America's Alex Michelsen in the doubles, defeating Holger Rune and Casper Ruud 6-3, 6-4.
However, the world No.8 suffered an ear injury when he raised his racquet, only for it to clip his left ear during the doubles victory.
The Sydneysider was checked by the tournament trainer and treated with a bandage.
