Thanasi Kokkinakis has opened up about his recovery post-surgery, revealing that "every day is a bit better" as he pushes towards a comeback.
The former world No.65 underwent pectoral surgery at the end of February, which bothered him throughout the Australian summer.

He joined The Sit-Down podcast to explain his journey since going under the knife.
"It's a tricky one. I had the surgery three months ago from today actually, so very tricky surgery," Kokkinakis said. "I had a pec reattachment using a dead person's Achilles in my arm, so there's a bit going on.
"I had shoulder surgery a while ago, but this is a lot tougher. But I'm getting there; every day is a bit better."
He later added: "I'm sure when I'm ready, I'll be keen to get back into it, but it's weird missing these big events at the moment, but something I've done a lot of times in the past. Another setback, but I'll get there."
Despite being born in Adelaide, the 29-year-old has lately called Melbourne home for different reasons, such as surgeries and training.
"I've been kind of living [in Melbourne] for a while, probably since my first shoulder surgery in 2016-2017, but actually living here, probably five or so years," he explained.
"I just bought my place a year and a half ago in South Yarra. I was living with my brother in Richmond before that, but I love it here; training is a lot better, [and] the facilities are incredible."
Although he couldn't offer an exact date regarding his return, Kokkinakis is motivated to enter competitive action.
"My goal is to get back to just playing these big players on the big courts. [It's] what I get up for," he said.
"Obviously Davis Cup is an incredible atmosphere; anything where you feel you're playing for something and feel that buzz, that's something I can't really replicate watching NBA on the couch (laughing)."
