Ellen Perez and Storm Hunter will look to carry their positive doubles run in Rome into Paris for the French Open as Australia's highest-seeded women.

The Roland-Garros entry list has confirmed the pair will begin their quest as No.6 seeds.

Perez's best result in the French capital was a semi-final showing in 2023 alongside Nicole Melichar-Martinez, with Hunter reaching the third-round in that same year.

The experienced duo recently reached the semi-finals of the Italian Open in only their second tournament as a partnership this season.

At the end of February, Hunter, a former doubles world No.1, marked her return after 10 months out of the game due to an Achilles injury suffered during Billie Jean King Cup qualifying practice.

Kimberly Birrell, Maya Joint and Olivia Gadecki (all ranked inside the top-100 in singles) are the other three Australian women adding their names to the doubles main draw.

They join seven Aussie men set to appear in the men's doubles, with the return of Nick Kyrgios after an eight-year French Open hiatus grabbing headlines.

Tuesday May 27 is the date for the men's and women's doubles opening round matches.
